Returns, Refunds and Your Right to Cancel
1) We fully comply with distance selling regulations and thrive be fair and treat our customers how we like to be treated our selves.
2) Under the UK Distance Selling Law it's a customer's statutory right, to be able to cancel/return any order made online.
3) You enjoy of a right of having seven (7) working days which to return an item for any reason. The product that you wish to return must be returned in the same condition as supplied and must also be un-used & in its original/appropriate packaging.
4) £60 (SIXTY POUNDS) will be charged for arranging a collection for your items if you wish to return it for reason of item(s) being not fit for purpose or incase you change your mind and decide not to keep the item(s).
If you wish to return an item for it being,
There will be NO charge for collection.
ITEMS NOT COVERED:
(a) Mattress covers, Mattresses, & Pillows are not covered under this policy due to hygiene reasons. If a mattress is faulty or damage, we will only be able to replace or repaired.
(b) Made to order Furniture are not covered under this policy, except if the item is substandard or have been unintentionally damaged by us during transit ( we may ask for photographic evidence of this) and will ask that you check the item prior to letting the courier leave and do not sign for the item unless you are 100% satisfied. Once you have signed for the item you will be liable for any damage.
(c) Non stockist Products from Breasley, Buoyant Upholstery, Camel Group, Hyder-Line, Corndell (Annecy Painted), Devonshire (Lundy Painted, Torridge Pine & Chunky Pine), Dormeo Octaspring, Dura Beds, Frank Hudson, Hasena, Kayflex, Kingstown Furniture, Lebus Upholstery, Mark Webster (Padstow Painted), MI Beds, Myers, PD Global (Ascot Pine, Grosvenor, Ogee Pine, Rossendale Pine & Rustic Pine), Qualita, Rauch, Relyon, Slumberland, Soft Nord, Stone International,IFH, IFD, TCS Imports, TFW Furniture (Mottisfont & Aquarius Furniture), Tudor Oak, Tutto Mobili, Varier, Welcome furniture, Welle Mobel & Wiemann UK are 'Made to Order' and are only put in production once we receive an order. Items from these brands cannot be cancelled or changed.
(d) Flat Pack furniture on which you have tried assembly is not covered under this policy
(e) Delivery Charges & other Service charges are not covered under this policy
(f) Once the seven (7) working days time has lapsed, we cannot accept returns under this policy.
5) If an item we have delivered is incorrect/incomplete or damaged or faulty you must report to us in writing and with photographic evidence within 7 days of delivery to you. You can state in your email if you require compensation to keep the item as it is or require a replacement.
6) Please allow 1 working day for us to revert you with a resolution to your query.
7) In case you would like to return the item, please keep the items in the condition they were supplied to you in its original packaging.
8) We refuse the right to accept returns if the item packaging is not retained and if it's unsafe for our couriers to collect the item and bring it back to our warehouse.
9) Upon receiving the items your refund will be then forwarded to our accounts team and the money will be credited to the card you had used to pay within 30 days from the date the item received in our warehouse.
10) If you have attempted assembly yourself or appointed any third party to assemble and whilst assembly damage the item, we are not liable for the damage and unable to offer return or refund.
11) No returns will be accepted on flat pack items on which has been assembled (this includes damage items). We request you to fully check the item (s) before you start to assemble.
12) Please make sure the goods are checked during delivery and then signed for (P.O.D.).
Made To Order/Measure Items:
Distant selling Regulations shall not apply to our “Made to measure” and non stockiest items. We advise our customers to fully understand that once these items have been manufactured they cannot be returned unless a structural or manufacturing fault is proven by our service team. We adopt a transparent and mutually agreed procedure for “made to measure” by ascertaining our customers’ requirements e.g. size, colour, sofa made opposite to pictured on the website, different shape and any other alteration. When requested we can send you a professional diagram and colour swatch electronically, before you confirm your order. We require a 50% non-refundable deposit of the total invoice value of “made to measure” orders. If “made to measure/made to order items” are cancelled, Sofa Savvy will not refund the initial 50% deposit. A minimum period of 12 weeks is normally needed for “made to measure/made to order items”. Sofa Savvy takes no liability for any delay due to shipping, port or cargo problems.
Full payment of the balance is to be made prior to receipt of whole or part of the goods. No company or personal cheques accepted. Sofa Savvy reserves the right to cancel any invoice.Sofa Savvy ltd shall be entitled without prejudice to its other rights and remedies, to terminate or suspend the whole of or any part of any agreement between Sofa Savvy Ltd and the purchaser.Deposits
In order to confirm your order, a deposit of 50% must be made within 4 days of placing your order otherwise your order will not be confirmed, and subsequently cancelled. This deposit is non-refundable except for circumstances outlined in our cancellation policy below.Cancellations
Deposits are subject to a minimum cancellation charge amounting to 50% of the purchase price. Cancellations where manufacturing has commenced and/or purchases have been made on your behalf, may include a cancellation charge up to the entire purchase price. The cancellation charge covers loss of value, administration and inventory costs, and other associated expenses.Delivery & Pickup
We use furniture delivery carriers and other major delivery companies to deliver your product and they do NOT offer assistance bringing the product into your home or setting it up as per standard delivery charges. If you need the drivers assistance bringing your product to your garage, this service is offered by the third party delivery carriers and can be arranged for an additional fee. All furniture is transported at your own risk. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to arrange insurance and to organise any additional protective packaging. Sofa Savvy is not responsible for the goods once they have changed hands.
The customer agrees that the name, phone number, email address and other contact information can be given by Sofa Savvy to the driver or any other shipping agent to coordinate deliveries and improve customer satisfaction and efficiency. Sofa Savvy will not be liable for any loss or damage or injury or any other casualty incurred at the time of delivery under any circumstance. Any change of delivery date, address or telephone number must be received in writing and called in to our delivery department at least 5 days before specified delivery date. We cannot deliver PO Boxes. Please use a valid street address for delivery of your order. It is entirely your responsibility that the furniture dimensions allow for easy delivery through doorways, passageways, stairways or any other way as you deem fit, and will fit into the living space of your choice.
You agree to be available to receive the product from the carrier at the time of delivery, and represent that the delivery address provided by you is accessible to trucking and delivery companies.Product Availability
Sofa Savvy will provide you with an estimated shipping date at the time of order placement. You will receive periodic updates via email from us regarding your order until it is received by you or your designated agent. The product availability times we quote are estimates only, not guarantees. Actual arrival times depend on several factors which are beyond our control. Delays in production and shipping may occur and due to increased security by governments, customs delays may also occur. Occasionally an item may be damaged in transit from our manufacturer, if this occurs you will be allocated the next available item, however this could mean an extended delay. If a delay occurs, don't panic. We will work hard to get your purchase to you, but please keep in mind that we work with high-ticket and large items which come from all over the world.Prices
Prices are subject to change at any time. In the event a product is listed at an incorrect price due to a typographical or any other error on any page on the web-site, brochure, promotional material or any other electronic or hard copy document, Sofa Savvy will have the right to refuse, cancel, modify, or take any action it may consider appropriate to address the error for any inquiry, quotation, purchase order or orders placed for products listed at the incorrect price, regardless of whether an order confirmation has been sent or not, and/or any payment has been made or not. If one or more payments have already been made and your order is confirmed, accepted, refused, cancelled, or modified in such a case of incorrect price,Sofa Savvy will refund any payment or payments you have already made for such item or items. Such a Purchase Order or Orders will not be considered confirmed, and the item or items will not be shipped due to the non-validity of the Purchase Order or Orders. In no event shall Sofa Savvy be liable to ship the product to the customer at the inaccurate price. While we strive towards our goal of a 100% error-free service, such mistakes can happen and we cannot guarantee that any or all content is accurate or complete, including price information, product specifications, lead time, or any other attribute listed. If we discover such errors, they will be corrected on our system using best efforts on the part of Sofa Savvy, and the corrected price or other information will be notified to you, and will be applied to your Purchase Order or Orders.Specifications
We reserve the right to change prices, dimensions, design and construction without prior notice. You are solely responsible for your final selection including the suitability of a particular covering, colour and model. Please choose carefully as we do not usually refund or exchange if you change your mind.
As all products are hand made, specifications on website may vary from final product received.Colours
Reproduction of colours is as accurate as possible, but please note colours in store may vary slightly from what is displayed your monitor or in any printed material. As variations may occur between batches, the colour of leather samples you have received from Sofa Savvy may vary slightly from colour of final product.
There may be instances where there is a minor imperfection to the item. It is therefore essential that the purchaser satisfies themselves at the point of sale with the condition before they commit to buy. We offer a six month guarantee which is only valid within the United Kingdom; this guarantee excludes faults caused by accident, neglect, misuse, and normal wear and tear.
Once the customer has taken delivery of the item, we will only give refunds in accordance with their legal rights. If the order is cancelled by the purchaser for any reason, upon or before delivery there will be a charge of 25% of the full purchase price in addition to any costs of options added i.e. delivery costs, stainguard etc.
If the purchaser elects to return items under the distance selling regulations they must be returned to the store from which they were purchased. We must have been made aware, in a durable format of the intention to return the items within 7 days after the day received. The items must be received back in the same condition as they were when delivered, and the costs of returning the items must be paid for by the customer. Any items we supply to you will be of satisfactory quality. If we deliver an item to you that you consider not of a satisfactory quality, you can contact us with a view to repair or replacement or, if this is not possible, a refund. Ultimately, any changes a purchaser makes to an order must be notified to us in writing. In the event of order changes, there may be changes to delivery timescales and/or the price for the items.
If any of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale are found to be illegal, invalid or unenforceable by any court of competent jurisdiction, the rest of these General Terms and Conditions of Sale shall remain in full force and effect.
IN NO EVENT WILL OR OUR SUPPLIERS BE LIABLE FOR SPECIAL, INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT OR OUT OF THE USE OF THE SITE OR FOR SERVICES PROVIDED BY Sofa Savvy, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES OR COSTS RELATING TO THE LOSS OF PROFITS, BUSINESS, GOODWILL, DATA, COMPUTER PROGRAMS, LOSS OF INFORMATION OR PROGRAMS OR OTHER DATA ON YOUR INFORMATION HANDLING SYSTEM) THAT ARISE OUT OF OR OTHERWISE ARE RELATED TO THE USE OF, OR THE INABILITY TO USE, THE CONTENT OR THE SITE OR ANY LINKED WEBSITE, THE STATEMENTS OF ANY THIRD PART Y ON THE SITE, OR UNAUTHORISED ACCESS TO THE SITE, YOUR TRANSMISSIONS, YOUR ACCOUNT OR YOUR PASSWORD, EVEN IF Lounge Life IS ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY SIMILAR CLAIM AGAINST YOU BY ANOTHER PART Y. THE ABOVE EXCLUSION OF INCIDENTAL AND CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES MAY NOT BE ENFORCEABLE UNDER SOME APPLICABLE LAWS, SO SUCH EXCLUSION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN NO CASE SHALL Sofa Savvy LIABILITY FOR MONEY DAMAGES EXCEED THE Sofa Savvy INVOICE AMOUNT PAID BY YOU FOR THE PRODUCT. Force Majeure: Sofa Savvy will not be liable for any failure or delay in performance which might be due, in whole or in part, directly or indirectly, to any contingency, delay, failure, or cause of, any nature beyond it s reasonable control. Such causes include, without in any way limiting the generality of the foregoing, fire, explosion, earthquake, storm, flood or other weather, unavailability of necessary utilities or raw materials, strike, lockout, unavailability of components, activities of a combination of workmen or other labour difficulties, war, insurrection, riot, act of God or the public enemy, law, act, order, export control regulation, proclamation, decree, regulation, ordinance, or instructions of any Government or other public authorities, or judgement or decree of a court of competent jurisdiction.
We wish to point out that Sofa Savvy are not approved suppliers of the following furniture brands: ScS – Dfs – Sofology – Furniture Village – Parker Knoll – G-Plan – Harveys – John Lewis – Ashley Manor – Alexander James – NATUZZI – Domicil – Buoyant – Ercol. Our stock is new or in as new condition, however some items maybe customer returned, ex display, slightly used and seconds.
